Todd Buchanan

Todd Buchanan serves as President of AmeriLife Wealth Group, where he leads the company’s expanding Wealth Distribution organization. In this role, Todd is responsible for driving strategy, growth, and performance across AmeriLife’s national network of wealth distribution affiliates and advisors, advancing the company’s mission to deliver comprehensive, client-centric financial solutions.

Todd brings nearly 30 years of experience in insurance distribution, retirement, and wealth management leadership. He joined AmeriLife from Transamerica, where he served on the Transamerica Management Board and as President of World Financial Group (WFG). Under his leadership, WFG became one of the largest financial services distribution networks in North America, focused on expanding financial access, advisor growth, and innovative distribution models.

Prior to Transamerica, Todd held senior leadership roles at AIG Life and Retirement (now Corebridge Financial), where he spent more than two decades building and leading high-performing distribution organizations across multiple regions and functions. Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Coherent Global, an insurance technology company, where he led large-scale digital transformation initiatives and supported rapid business growth.

Todd began his professional career as a U.S. Army officer, achieving the rank of Captain, an experience that continues to shape his leadership philosophy and commitment to service. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and was inducted into the university’s Alumni Hall of Fame in 2015. Todd also serves on several industry and community boards and is passionate about advancing financial literacy and long-term financial security for individuals and families.
